My design aim is to provide a thorough and rational solution to any given brief, but with a result that is also stimulating and timeless. It is a carefully considered interpretation of the how and why of space for the purpose identified by my client.

I approach a project with a minimalist attitude. For example, a site on a hill overlooking a lake reflecting a setting sun. It may need nothing more than a chair. I only go further as obvious requirements dictate. A floor, a canopy, a table, a glass of gin and so on.
